Wanneer de uitbater van een rivaliserend café in Cilldargan, Aloysius McLogan, Fitzgerald's uitdaagt voor een wedstrijd onder pubs, neemt Peter de handschoen op. Hij hoopt op die manier iedereen weer in de stemming te krijgen. Hij gooit zich vol overgave op de samenstelling van zijn caféploeg.
